About Cathy Castles - IFBB Pro

Hi, I am Cathy all round guru of many talents.

I am Personal Assistant to IFBB pro Sam Pearce, Administration guru for Iron Asylum, Gym housekeeper, Gym floor Manager, group challenge and one on one personal trainer.

I fell in love with bodybuilding in 2018 after finding myself bored with life and looking for the next challenge. Stepping into a gym for the first time in 20 years it seemed big and daunting and had no idea what I was doing. My trainer suggested competing and I thought this would be good for my self confidence so stepped on stage for the first time in May 2018. From there I fell in love with competing and went on to compete for the IFBB pro league Australia gaining my Pro card in May 2023.

Now working with clients here at IA, training them to gain their confidence, self worth and teach them how to be a healthier version of themselves, gives me the greatest pleasure.. I am not just a trainer but a mentor and I am passionate about guiding each client down the right path to achieve their targets no matter and big or small. I make it my mission that their goals are my priority.

Sam Pearce - Home

I started training in my teens and competed in my first bodybuilding show in 2008. I went on to compete in various shows and gained my pro card in IFBB pro league Australia in 2016. I became passionate about helping others to achieve their fitness goals and became a coach and PT trainer to help those achieve their fitness goals. As my client base grew, I knew that I wanted to provide a space where members and athletes could take their training to the next level. My goal and ambition is to push people to level up with their training and nutrition. From the choices that we make, we determine our perspective and outlook to everyday life and I preach this as a lifestyle.

Sure, we all want a world class physique, a body we feel confident with. We want that body where we can look in the mirror, at ourselves, and be happy with that person looking back at us.

Being part of Iron Asylum is more than that. We help develop the skills and disciplines needed to apply this success to every day life. I go deep into mindset and goal setting, so this journey will never be seen as a “sacrifice”, “struggle” or “burden”. This should be something you genuinely love doing day to day.

As a result, you end up applying the same effort and disciplines to your working career, relationships and friendships."
